Racing Car craft for kids step-by-step
-
1
Cover SMARTIES® Tube in glue.
-
2
Wrap coloured paper around the tube, carefully cutting excess paper off.
-
3
Carefully cut hexagons from the paper and stick on both ends of the tube (Draw around the end of the tube as a template).
-
4
Carefully push the wooden skewer through the holes near the closed end of the tube.
-
5
Measure and mark 2.5cm from each end of the tube, and repeat on the opposite side of the tube.
-
6
Use a pencil to punch through the tube at each marked point.
-
7
Now carefully push cocktail sticks through the holes.
-
8
Draw 4 wheels on cardboard, using a small round object as a template.
-
9
Cut the wheels out, colour them in with a black pen on both sides, and make a hole in the middle of each wheel using a sharp pencil and a ball of blue-tac underneath for safety. Then push wheels onto cocktail sticks.
-
10
Remove the sharp ends with scissors with care.
-
11
If you would like to make a windscreen, carefully use a craft knife to cut a 3-sided rectangle on the top flat edge of the tube about half-way down. Fold back the flap to make it stand up.
